Grilled Salsa

submitted by Cio

This tastes better if you are using charcoal or mesquite but a gas bbq grill will work.

3 to 4 tomatoes
2-3 jalapeños or seranos or any other chile of choice
1 sprig of cilantro
1/2 an onion
1 clove of garlic
1/2 tsp salt or more according to taste
1/3 cup of water

Grill tomatoes, chilies, onion and garlic on the grill until they are soft. After they are cooked place everything in a blender and add the cilantro, salt and water and blend.
You might want to add one Chile at a time and taste after mixing to check how hot it is.

If you have warped taste buds and can't handle the heat then remove the seeds from the chilies but why anyone would do this is beyond me.
