Turtlehead Peak is a very strenuous hike. A five mile round
trip with a 1,900' elevation gain.
At the top is a breathtaking (if you have any
left) panaromic view which offers a sight of the Las Vegas Valley and Lake
Mead.
This is the view of the turtle laughing at us
while we were driving away for not making it to the top. We've been defeated!
We didn't try at all this day because it was raining.
So we headed here. Ice Box Canyon..?. Actually
we headed past here to Pine Creek Canyon. A very popular hike. But it was
still raining and very cold so that was the end of the hike for the day.
